London DJ, producer and label boss Hannah Holland radiates the best of the city’s club culture past and present.
Sneaking into Metalheadz Sessions at The Blue Note aged 14, Hannah caught the bug for the beat… and the bass!
She’s never looked back. Renowned for legendary DJ residencies at Trailer Trash and Batty Bass, Hannah has rocked dancefloors for Bugged Out, The Warehouse Project, Fabric, Amnesia, The Arches, festival stages for Glastonbury and Serbia’s notorious Exit Festival, and tours of Japan and Australia.
The signature Hannah Holland hybrid of house, techno and bass has been honed on originals like ‘Shake It Up [ft. Mama]’ and ‘Paris’ Acid Ball’, and remixes for The Knife, DJ Hell and Planningtorock.
Along the way Time Out has named Batty Bass “one of London’s finest clubs” – its eponymous label’s discography includes tracks and remixes by Daniel Avery, Terry Farley and The Deadstock 33s.
And new sister label Native City is now firing its stripped down London/Berlin sound on all cylinders.
Equally at home in big rooms and grimy basements, you can also check the HH magic on her NTS Live radio show.
Hannah Holland’s remix of Michelle Bee‘s ‘Room In A Box’ is forthcoming on pxnklxzrd.
