Riz Maslen signs to Pink Lizard Music

We are beyond excited (dribble) to announce that Riz Maslen (iTunes/Amazon/Spotify) has signed a publishing deal with Pink Lizard Music.

We think she is, frankly, a bit modest, considering her extraordinary twenty-year career so far.

Here is a woman who has played Coachella and the Montreaux Jazz Festival, composed for Kew Gardens and the English National Opera, and released work on a who’s who of independent labels including R&S/Apollo, Oxygen Music Works and of course Ninja Tune.

Once described by Mixmag as ‘inspirational’, her aliases include Neotropic (iTunes/Amazon/Spotify) and Small Fish With Spine, and she has collaborated with Low, fellow electronic pioneers 4 Hero and Future Sound of London, Anticon founder Doseone and Nick McCabe of The Verve.

Far more than an electronica artist, hers is a body of work that is unparalleled in its combination of, and experimentation with, vocals, situational sounds, electronics and images.

And it keeps developing.

Recent re-evaluation in publications like The Quietus, which notes approvingly her contribution to new Future Sound of London material, and FACT, whose list of the top 100 IDM tracks of all time she features in, is timely – as she is preparing her first official new release since returning from the Amazon.

We are extremely humbled that she is choosing to publish her post-Ninja Tune catalogue, including this new work, through Pink Lizard Music.

We will also be representing Riz as a composer for media.

We are able to one-stop parts of her catalogue.  Contact us – we are here to help.
